Cosmic Brownies

Ingredients

Brownies:

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter melt
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Chocolate Ganache

  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Garnish:

  • Wilton Rainbow Chip Crunch

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 X13 inch baking dish with nonstick baking spray.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt and set aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, using a handheld electric mixer beat butter, and both sugars until well combined. Add milk and vanilla and beat until combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating until just incorporated. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix just until combined. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Cool pan on a baking rack.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate ganache. Place chocolate chips and the heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Whisk together until the mixture is completely smooth.
  • Pour Ganache over slightly cooled brownies.
