Ingredients

  • 4-8 hot dogs
  • 4-8 hot dog buns
  • softened butter

Instructions

  • Remove hot dogs from the package. Cut slits in hot dogs.

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. Place hot dogs in the Air Fryer basket and cook for 4-6 minutes.

  • Remove hot dogs and place them in buns. Brush the buns with softened butter. Then place back in Air Fryer and cook at 400°F for 2 more minutes.
  • Remove and top with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  1. Why slash: It prevents yucky shriveled hot dogs!
  2. Make a toppings buffet: Load it with all your favorites mustard, ketchup, bbq sauce, relish, jalapeno slices, chopped onion (I like white or purple), pickles, bacon bits, or sauerkraut,
  3. Let's Talk Turkey: I love making my turkey dogs using this recipe. It's a great way to cut down a bit on cholesterol and saturated fat. Of course, beef or a combo of beef and pork hot dogs work just as well.
