This cherry cobbler with cake mix just might be the easiest and yummiest cobbler! It's loaded with cherry pie filling and topped with cakey buttery topping.
Preheat oven to 375°F oven (190°C). Spray an 8X8 inch baking dish with non-stick cookie spray.
Evenly spread both cans of cherry pie filling in the prepared baking dish.
In a large mixing bowl, add cake mix (1 box). Gradually mix the cooled butter (1/2 cup) and whisk until crumbly.
Spread cake topping over cherry filling.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Notes
Almond: I love the combo of cherries and almonds. Try adding 1/2 teaspoon to the cherry filling or mixing in chopped or slivered almonds with the cake mix and butter.
Make mine Chocolate: Switch out the white cake mix with a chocolate cake mix for a chocolate cherry cobbler.
Browned Butter: For a richer, nuttier cobbler topping, brown the butter before mixing it with the cake mix.
