Ingredients

  • 2 (21-ounce) cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box white cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F oven (190°C). Spray an 8X8 inch baking dish with non-stick cookie spray.
  • Evenly spread both cans of cherry pie filling in the prepared baking dish.

  • In a large mixing bowl, add cake mix (1 box). Gradually mix the cooled butter (1/2 cup) and whisk until crumbly.

Notes

  1. Almond: I love the combo of cherries and almonds. Try adding 1/2 teaspoon to the cherry filling or mixing in chopped or slivered almonds with the cake mix and butter.
  2. Make mine Chocolate: Switch out the white cake mix with a chocolate cake mix for a chocolate cherry cobbler.
  3. Browned Butter: For a richer, nuttier cobbler topping, brown the butter before mixing it with the cake mix.
