- 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
In a medium mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, using a handheld electric mixer set on medium speed, cream together the butter and sugar until they are just combined. Add the vanilla Gradually stir in the flour mixture, then stir in chocolate chips.
Using a medium cookie scoop shape dough and place on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Flatten cookies slightly with the bottom of a glass. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until edges begin to brown. Allow to cool on baking sheets for 10 minutes then remove to wire rack and cool completely.
Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place 1 cup of chocolate chips in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 50% for 30 seconds, stir until completely melted. Spoon melted chocolate into a small ziplock. Cut off one corner and drizzle each cookie with chocolate. Allow chocolate to set. Store cookies in an airtight container.
