Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl cream together butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla until well combined. Add eggs and beat for 2 minutes, or until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add in flour mixture and mix just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out balls of dough and place on prepared baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven, just until centers of cookies no longer look wet, about 8 minutes. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes then remove and cool completely on wire baking racks.
