Preheat oven to 400ºF (204ºC). Set an oven rack in the lower 1/3 of the oven. Line a large-rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange slices of bacon (12) on the baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until crisp, about 15 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. When cool enough to handle, chop.

Add green beans (5 cans) and cooked bacon to the prepared baking dish then stir.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar (2/3 cup), melted butter (1/4 cup), soy sauce (7 teaspoons), garlic powder (1 1/2 teaspoons), and onion powder (1/2 teaspoon) until combined, and brown sugar is dissolved.
Pour the sauce over the green beans and bacon.
Bake in the oven (temp should be 350ºF (177ºC) for 40 minutes. Toss and serve!
Notes
Bacon: If you prefer, you can dice the raw bacon and fry it in a pan. Once crisp, use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon and set aside.
Liquid: Bake the assembled dish until most of the liquid has evaporated, but they’re not dry.
