When I saw this recipe I almost didn’t try it. ย The original title, ” Alcoholic Hot Chocolate”,ย sounded like hot chocolate for people with a drinking problem?ย ย Hot chocolate for alcoholics!ย I’m sure I’m the only one that read the title that way but, read it that way, I did. ย I’m so glad I tried this. It was so deeelicious I was really blown away by this.ย ย The combo of honey, cinnamon, and the rum created a lot of subtle nuances that I didn’t expect. ย I was surprised. I wanted to change the name still, so I did.ย Enjoy!

Thanks for visiting my blog! After reading your “about me” I realized we both have two kids in college :)one of my daughters will graduate this May, and the youngest is in her second year. My youngest one loves to cook on the weekends with her boyfriend. They choose a recipe sometimes, from my HUGE collection of cookbooks, and cook away. I too have a cookbook addiction. a …I just can't seem to stop!!

One thing I learned from a recent trip to Vermont without water. Was that sometimes you need to add alcohol to hot chocolate. Just to get through a rough time. Rum would be delicious in it! Everclear also does the trick.
Rum flavoured chocolate drink is just soothing and comforting for any time of the year!
ha ha I liked reading about this chocolate. I don't drink at all but I can see how the rum could make a difference. ๐
