Whirl chips in a food processor until they are desired consistency. (I like mine fairly fine). Spread in a thick layer on a plate.
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise (1/4 cup), salt (1/2 teaspoon), and Italian seasoning (1/2 teaspoon). Spread mayonnaise mixture evenly over chicken breasts.
Dip chicken in Dorito Chip crumbs and place on a baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
