Cheesy…Creamy…Comforting….Crock Pot Potatoes!!!
Oh Baby Baby!!! Yes please I want some cheesy potatoes.
These potatoes are so, so yummy. Honestly. Want more…?
How about a Crock Pot Potato Recipe that is essentially a dump, turn it on, and get ready to almost swoon at dinner time.
Maybe it’s just me that almost swoons. You’ll probably just eat these glorious potatoes and love them but not even get close to fainting. Don’t worry! The kids are safe from swooning, too.
These potatoes are the perfect cheesy, creamy, comfort food that makes a wonderful side dish to go along with just about anything.
Oh, and the aroma that fills the house while these babies are cooking up in the crock pot. My oh my!!!
I love that this recipe uses a bag of frozen cubed potatoes. It makes putting together this delicious side dish a snap. No peeling, no cutting the potatoes. Just thaw, dump and cook!
I originally found this recipe in Taste of Home Magazine. It was submitted by a four-generation Idaho genius!
She says it’s a family favorite that she’s served at weddings, family dinners and more. That’s a heck of a recommendation for a potato recipe in my book!
With all the potatoes grown, and I can only imagine eaten in Idaho, you have to believe this is one great recipe.
Idahoans (is that the correct name for someone from Idaho???) know how to do potatoes right!
My many personal experiences with this recipe totally concur that this is a wonderfully delicious family favorite. I get so many requests to make these potatoes.
As quick and easy as they are to prepare and as delicious as they are I’m always happy to comply!
The Best Crock Pot Cheesy Potatoes
This recipe is super easy peasy. It’s pretty much a dump and go crock pot recipe. I LOVE those 🙂
I prefer the texture of the potatoes when they’re thawed out overnight in the fridge, but there have been many a times when I totally forgot to do that and ended up thawing in the microwave. You know the best laid plans and everything! LOL 😉

I make this recipe all the time in my favorite Crock Pot. I adore the large oval size! It cooks everything really well and the crock is removable for easy cleaning. It makes a nice serving piece as well. The clamps on the top of the crock are used only when the crock pot isn’t turn on and you’re done cooking and are transporting it. Clever, don’t you think?!
