How To Make Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

What Ingredients Do You Need To Make Our Honey Mustard Recipe
- Mayo: I live on the West Coast so I use Best Foods Mayo.
- Dijon: Dijon is more pungent and spicy than yellow mustard. I love the added levels of flavor it adds to the sauce.
- Creole Mustard: This is a whole-grain mustard with bold and spicy flavor. I get it at Walmart. If you can’t find it at your local market, it’s available on Amazon.
- Honey
- Cayenne: Adjust the amount to suit your taste for spice and heat.

What preferred brand of mayo do you use? Asking because there is I notice a big difference in taste when using miracle whip as compared to Helmans (aka best foods mayo in the west).
Kathleen says
Hi Debbie. Yes, I use Helmans/Best Foods <3
Linda j wilbourn says
what if your store does not have Creole Mustard? Is there something else that can be used?
Kathleen says
Hi Linda. Gosh, I really don’t know of a substitute. I’m sorry. It’s available on Amazon though!
Andrew Miller says
Linda, the mom-and-pop I used to get Zatarain’s mustard at no longer carries it and I forgot to get more on Amazon. The Walmart stone-ground works fairly well. I’ve had the Tabasco Creole mustard (Indiana here) and wasn’t a fan.

Great recipe – have made another version but instead of creole mustard – I use Tony Chachere’s – Creole Seasoning – easy to find pretty much everywhere. It can get salty if a lot is added – so I adjust accordingly. Just adjust to your own taste buds.
Karen says
What is creole?
Kathleen says
Hi Karen it’s Creole Mustard <3
