And let me tell ya, this homemade creamed corn is so much better than anything you can get in a can.
Creamed corn is generally made either with fresh or frozen corn on the stove top.
Not only is this one of the most truly yummy recipes for creamed corn I’ve ever tasted, it’s cooked in the crock pot…..brilliant!

Cubing the cream cheese and butter is about all the effort required.
The original recipe says to cook on high for 2-4 hours.
I find that when the Creamed Corn is cooked for only two hours, the creamed part is too soupy for my taste.
It’s still rich and delicious though.
When the mixture cooks for three or four hours the sauce gets lusciously thick.
You can adjust the cooking time to suit your own taste.

Crock Pot Creamed Corn
- Frozen Corn, Thawed and Drained - 1--16 Ounce Bag
- Whole Milk - 1 Cup
- Sugar - 1 Tablespoon
- Salt - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Black Pepper - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Cream Cheese, Cubed - 8 Ounces
- Unsalted Butter, Cubed - 1/2 Cup
1. Add the first 5 ingredient to a Crock Pot and stir. Add the cream cheese and butter. Cover and cook on high heat for 3 hours. Uncover and stir well until sauce comes together and is smooth. Cover and cook on high for 40-60 minutes more or until sauce is thickened.
