PEACH FLUFF INGREDIENTS
- Vanilla pudding mix: I use Jell-O brand.
- Peach Jell-O mix: I use Peach Gelatin Dessert Mix, Jell-O Brand
- Water: Tap or filtered
- Cream cheese: Any brand, regular.
- Cool Whip: Do not substitute this ingredient. Cool whip will stabilize the dessert, so it doesn’t fall like real whipped cream.
- Peaches in juice: Not in syrup, no sugar added sliced peaches in a can.
- Mini Marshmallows: Fluffy goodness adds texture and interest to this dessert.
- Pecans: I prefer pecans for a little crunch. You can also use walnuts.
CAN YOU USE FRESH PEACHES?
Yes! Fresh peaches are plentiful in this fluff. If you use fresh peaches, cut them up and place them in a sieve set over the sink for 20-30 minutes.
Then lay them out on a length of paper towels, or double paper towels, long enough to accommodate the peaches in a single layer. Top with another layer of paper towels. This will absorb any extra moisture that would otherwise dilute the pudding mixture and make it runny.
You’ll need 4-6 peaches, depending on the size. They don’t need to be peeled, but I prefer them peeled.
NOTES + TIPS
- Which Canned Is Best: We like canned peaches in their juice rather than in heavy syrup. The heavy syrup in this recipe prevents the fluff from thickening correctly.
- Size Of Box: If you can only find a 6-ounce box of peach-flavored Jell-O, simply use half. You can also measure the weight with a kitchen scale. Here’s my favorite
- Make It BIG! This recipe doubles beautifully. It’s great for when you want to serve a crowd.
- Serve It Up! You can serve Peach Fluff in individual dessert cups or a large salad bowl.
- Remember: This dessert salad can be made in minutes. A refrigeration time of one to two hours is required before serving.
- Switch It Up: Try using cheesecake, coconut, or white chocolate-flavored pudding instead of vanilla pudding. All variations are delicious, so try it each way for variety.

- 1 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 5.1 ounces instant vanilla pudding
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 8 ounces Cool Whip thawed
- 3 (15-ounce) cans sliced peaches in juice - not syrup, well drained and chopped
- 5 ounces mini marshmallows
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Optional Toppings:
- chopped pecans
- mini marshmallows
- chopped can peaches
- maraschino cherries
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together peach Jello mix (3 ounces) and hot water (1 cup) until Jello is completely dissolved. Pour in the cold water (1/2 cup) and stir to combine then place in the fridge to cool, for about 15 minutes.
- Remove the Jello from the fridge and pour in the vanilla pudding mix (dry) (5.1 ounces) and use a whisk to completely combine. Return the bowl to the fridge to thicken slightly, about 15 minutes.
- In another medium bowl, using a handheld mixer, beat cream cheese (4 ounces) until fluffy. Fold in Cool Whip (8 ounces).
- Fold in the cream cheese (4 ounces) and Cool Whip mixture, chopped peaches (3 cans), mini marshmallows (5 ounces), and pecans (1 cup).
- Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or better, overnight.
- Serve from bowl or place in individual dishes. Garnish, if desired, with extra marshmallow, chopped pecans, and a maraschino cherry.
