Let’s make this!
Strawberry Fluff Ingredients
This strawberry fluff with Cool Whip only has a handful of easy-to-find ingredients!
- Strawberry Jell-O: I use the small-size box, which contains 3 ounces.
- Water: Tap water. We use hot water and cold water.
- Vanilla pudding mix: I use Jell-O brand.
- Cream Cheese: Any brand, as long as the cream cheese is not reduced fat. In this recipe, it’s important to have the cream cheese extremely soft
- Cool Whip: Do not substitute this ingredient. I like the extra creamy variety. Be sure to thaw it overnight in the fridge.
- Strawberries: Look for the ripest strawberries available.
- Pineapple: I use crushed canned pineapple.
- Mini Marshmallows: Fluffy goodness adds texture and interest to this dessert.
Strawberry Fluff Salad Tips
- Make It Speedy! I used the speed set method to make the Jell-0. It’s so much faster and easier too. The back of the box has the instructions. This makes our strawberry fluff Jello salad easier and quicker than ever to make!
- Save The Prettiest: Reserve a few of the prettiest strawberries to decorate later. You can also use mint.
Storing + Freezing + Make-Ahead
- How Long Can You Keep This in The Fridge? Once prepared, your strawberry fluff will last up to four days in the fridge.
- Can You Freeze This? I do not recommend freezing. The texture will change and it will be weird.
- Make-Ahead: You can prepare this dessert ahead of time. Just cover and store it in the refrigerator.
- Food Safety: If you’d like more info on food safety check out this link.

Notes
- Make It Speedy! I used the speed set method to make the Jell-0. It’s so much faster and easier too. The back of the box has the instructions. This makes our strawberry fluff Jello salad easier and quicker than ever to make!
- Combining: When you blend the Jello with the cream cheese + Cool Whip mixture together, it will never be completely combined. There will be beautiful tiny bits of Jell-o contrasting with the cream cheese mixture. It makes a lovely mosaic that will taste smooth and really yummy.
- Save The Prettiest: Reserve a few of the prettiest strawberries to decorate later. You can use mint too.

The recipe states to mix the box of Jell-O with the boiling water. On the instructions on the Jell-O box it also mentions adding 2 cups of cold water. However, the directions on this recipe do not mention the cold water. If anyone has made this recipe do you add the cold water to the, mixed Jell-O and hot water?
Do you think omitting the pineapple will affect it overall? Substitute with something else?
Hi, Becky! I haven’t tried this without pineapples, but I think this’ll work without. 🙂
Mini marshmallows would be great
So good! My sister loved it so much, she almost ate it all! We’ll gonna try raspberry-strawberry combination next time 🙂
Yaaay! That’s perfect! I might try that too! Thanks for the rating and feedback 🙂
