What Is Fruit Dip Recipe?
A sweet, creamy dip that is perfect for dipping fruit, sweet crackers (like Graham crackers), or cookies. It’s a great way to get the kids to eat their fruit! This makes a great after-school snack or light dessert.
Is Marshmallow Fluff The Same As Marshmallow Cream?
The two products are very similar but not exactly the same. They’re generally made with the same ingredients, but they vary in texture. Marshmallow fluff has a more airy, fluffier texture. The tastes will vary slightly due to manufacturers’ formulations.
Fruit Dip Ingredients
- Marshmallow Creme: This jar-sized item is the base of our dip and creates its fluffy texture.
- Cream Cheese: softened, any brand
- Vanilla Extract
- Fresh Fruit such as strawberries, apple slices, peaches, grapes, kiwis, bananas, etc.: serve the dip with washed and sliced fruit of your choice.
Tips
- Make It Quick! This marshmallow fruit dip comes together in minutes and can be served immediately. No need to plan ahead.
- Variations: Use flavored cream cheese, such as strawberry; add orange, lemon, or pineapple juice for added flavor. The juice also loosens up the dip if it is too thick.
- Super Soft Please! The cream cheese should be very soft and at room temperature before mixing.
- Room Temperature for Serving! The dip can be chilled before serving, but it can also be served at room temperature.
Recipe Variation
Chocolate Chips: Add mini chocolate chips like I do in my Booty Dip!
Make It Chocolate: Stir in cocoa powder to make a chocolate fruit dip!
Spice It Up: Stir in some cinnamon to change up the flavor.
Change The Extract: Add a little almond extract. It’s very strong so add a little at a time.
Healthify: Replace the marshmallow cream with Greek yogurt. Vanilla flavor is best.
