The green apple martini is so popular, why not make them at home? Ours has just the right amount of sweetness, a touch of sourness for balance, and lots of apple flavor!!
This week I decided to tryĀ Nigella Lawson Green Apple Martini. I have a soft spot for most martinis. These days though, where I live, they generally run at least 15 bucks. That irritates me. For heaven’s sake! It’s not like they’re difficult to make. So, that’s just what I did this week.
I had some good friends from out of town and I decided to try this new martini out on them. We all agreed that these were Fabulous Green Apple Martinis. Not too sweet and very apple-y. Yum. Ā Perfect š
I hope you’ll try our pear martini and pumpkin pie martini, next!
It’s cocktail time!
Apple Martini Ingredients
- Sugar: Granulated sugar
- Vodka: Use your favorite vodka. Remember though, with all the other flavors in this martini, you won’t notice the nuances of higher-end vodkas.
- Sour Apple Liqueur: This ingredient is essential and gives the cocktail its fabulous color. It has a sweet and sour apple flavor.
- Granny Smith Apple Syrup: This is a nonalcoholic mixture that really brings the flavor!
Let’s mix these UP!!

Yikes, yep. All summer while cycling across Europe we couldn't buy martinis or cocktails anywhere—they were so darn expensive!! It was great to land in Florence (where we are living for a year) to buy my own ingredients and whip up some lovely cocktails once again…

I am constantly irked by the insane prices of mixed drinks! Sometimes a girl just wants her martini for less than the cost of dinner. Sheesh.
Solution – make one at home! Love the color. Looks great.

Sounds awesome. I love the color. Back in NY, martinis are usually $15 so I feel your pain. Homemade sounds like a great alternative!
