Stick Of Butter Rice Recipe Ingredients
- Rice: We use long-grain rice, which yields a perfectly fluffy texture. The recipe isn’t written for brown rice.
- Condensed French Onion Soup: Canned condensed soup
- Beef Broth or Beef Consommé: Any brand, low-sodium or regular
- Butter: Unsalted since there is salt in the soup and broth already
Tips
- Fluff It Up! Once cooked, fluff the rice and mix.
- Wanna Make It Pretty? Garnish with minced parsley for a beautiful presentation.
Variations
- Parm: Sprinkle the top with grated or shredded Parmesan cheese before baking.
- Add Mushrooms: Add 4 ounces of sliced cremini or white mushrooms. They’re delicious in this dish! Add at the end of step #2, before you add the slices of butter. No need to cook them ahead of time, just throw them in!
- Frozen Mixed Vegetables: Stir in 1 cup of thawed and well-drained frozen mixed vegetables for added flavor, if desired.
Storing + Freezing + Make-Ahead
- How Long Can You Keep This in The Fridge? This dish will last up to three days in the fridge. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the microwave.
- Can You Freeze This? I do not recommend freezing.
- Make-Ahead: You can make this ahead of time, just cover it tightly with plastic wrap and heat up when it’s time to eat!
