This pie is the ham and cheese cousin to the ever-popular impossible cheeseburger pie. You know the recipe, it’s been gracing American dinner tables for generations. And for great reasons.

Ingredients You’ll Need To Make Impossibly Easy Ham And Swiss Pie

Ham
Swiss Cheese – I use Swiss cheese in my recipe, but this is another ingredient that can easily be swapped. Swiss has a mild taste and melts beautifully, but you can also use cheddar if you want a sharper bite. Or, if you want to omit the dairy entirely, you can use your favorite dairy-free cheese. Just be sure to swap the milk too!
Green Onions
Bisquick – The starring ingredient! You may have seen other Bisquick impossible pie recipes floating around and wondered what makes them so impossible, and why is Bisquick so versatile? We can owe this adaptable ingredient to a clever train chef — he made his own pre-made biscuit dry mix, and a traveling salesman from General Mills loved the idea so much he altered it for mass production. So now we have Bisquick, which of course makes delicious biscuits, but can do so much more!

How Long Can You Keep This In The Fridge? This impossibly easy ham and Swiss pie will last in the fridge for a couple of days when stored properly, although I rarely have leftovers. Store in an airtight container or cover tightly with plastic wrap before putting it in the fridge.
Can You Freeze This? Yes. Bake the pie and when you’re ready to serve, all you have to do is thaw it in the fridge overnight then reheat either in the microwave or oven. Store in an airtight container or “hotel wrapped” with plastic wrap.
Make-Ahead Tips: Assemble the pie without baking, cover with plastic wrap, then store in the fridge. Let sit out on the counter for 30-40 minutes before baking so the pie plate doesn’t crack in the oven.

What to Serve With This Easy Ham Pie

If I’m serving this for breakfast or brunch I like to serve my favorite strawberry spinach salad, Bisquick drop biscuits, andblueberry coffee cake.

If I’m serving it for supper, I like it with KFC coleslaw, Fried Cabbage and Bacon, or brown sugar glazed carrots.

How To Make Impossibly Easy Ham And Swiss Pie Recipe

Spread ham, cheese, and green onions in the pie dish.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the rest of the ingredients. Pour mixture into pie dish.
Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the tip of a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Let pie sit for 5 minutes before serving.
