Easter Cake Recipes Notes
Easter is a super special holiday where only the best Easter cake recipes will do. Baking is more of a science than anything so it’s important to know when it’s okay to make changes. I’ve tried to include this information in each recipe to make things easier. Here are some tips to make these recipes the star of the show.
Room temperature means different things to different people. In baking, however, it typically means between 66- and 69-degrees Fahrenheit.
I often use room temperature eggs for baking because they mix better with the other ingredients and provide a lighter fluffier product in the end. Simply let them rest in warm water for 10 minutes prior to using them in baked goods.
How to Eat + Serving Suggestions
Many of these cakes must be refrigerated for best results while some can be made ahead and frozen. It’s usually ideal to slow thaw cakes in the fridge overnight and garnish before serving.
People say that we taste with our eyes first and each of these cakes has a beautifully delicious presentation. As per food safety guidelines, you’ll want to reserve the FDA recommended 2-hour serving rule.

The Glaze:
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 1/2 fresh lemon juice
- zest from 1 lemon

- In a large mixing, using an electric hand mixer set at low, combine all cake ingredients until moistened. Turn mixer to high and continue to beat on high for 4 minutes.
